He is survived by: his children, Shawn Burkman (Amanda) of Queensville and Erin Biehl (Brian) of Scipio; his sisters, Lori Ammerman (David) of Scipio and Jane Riley Sr. (Mike) of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Izaliena Burkman of Scipio, Eric Biehl of Scipio, Almea Biehl of Scipio, Aleric Burkman of Queensville, Adalind Burkman of Queensville, Roland Henderson of Seymour and Trey Henderson of Columbus.

“Eric and I were 3 months apart and very close during our childhood and school days. Always fun and kind. We didn’t stay as close during adulthood but family always remains family. His kids and grandchildren are beautiful. Eric and I and 2 other cousins, Kathy and Deena, were all born between October 1956 and January 1957. The Burkmans are a close knit family and still gather once a year. You will be missed, Eric.”
