She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Wells, and Lela Louis Wells, Sr.; her husband Peter J. Clay; and her siblings, Doris Lortz, Jean Chisnall, Roscoe Wells, Jr. and Nina Lynch.

She is survived by: her pet Sammy; her children, Julia Leslie of Hope, Cindy Clay of Fl, Lelia Frazee of Hope and Alise Pate of St. Marys, GA; her grandchildren, David Bierlein (Melissa) of Scipio, Tim Holley (Loretta) of Hope, Christel Chapman of Fl, Karen Chapman (Matt Ray) of New Orleans, LA, Peter Chapman (Shellie) of Scipio and Clayton White (Emily) of Jacksonville Beach, FL; her great grandchildren, Kegan Bierlein of Columbus, Anita Grace Rigdon (Dylan) of Seymour, Keaton Floyd (Avi) of Killeen, TX, Shayla, Skylar Chapman of Scipio, Leralynn White of Jacksonville Beach, FL. and Easton Peter White of Jacksonville Beach, FL.; and her brother Ted Wells of Columbus. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be donated directly to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201.
