He was predeceased by: his parents, Eusebio Gutierrez and Tomasa Gutierrez. He is survived by: his wife Sue E. Gutierrez; his sons, Robert E. Gutierrez (Isabel) and Michael A. Gutierrez (Akiko); and his grandchildren, Aurora, Fernando Sotelo and Makoto Santiago Nose. He is also survived by other grandson expected in May; fifteen siblings; two in-laws and a loving extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Maria Goretti Food Pantry.
