He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken and Pat; his stepfather Dean; his son Keith; and his granddaughter Shyann.

He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Bryan Thomas (Lee Ann), Robert Phares (Marcie), Daniel Phares (Emily) and Becky Stevenson (Tim); his grandchildren, Savannah, Quinn, Konner, Karsen, Rorie, Jules, Jackson and Colton; and his siblings, Ken Thomas and Carol White.
