She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald R. "Jim" Van Prooyen; her siblings, Ellen DeYoung (Jack) and Joni Van Der (late John); and her parents, Joseph Visser and Adriana Visser.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Van Prooyen (Barb), Mariellen Boomsma (Brian), Diane Saxsma (Ed) and Gary Van Prooyen (Karen); her grandchildren, Ryan Van Prooyen, Jordan Van Prooyen, Janelle Lindemulder (Pete), Brandon Boomsma (Krista), Jaclyn Boomsma, Scott Saxsma (Todd), Cory Saxsma (April), Adam Van Prooyen and Matthew Van Prooyen; her great grandchildren, Paisley, Tanner Saxsma, Ava, Chase, Anya Lindemulder, Brody, Braelynn, Briar and Briggs Boomsma; and her sibling Jan Balkema (late John).
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Faith Church - Highland (8910 Grace St, Highland, IN 46322). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
