He was predeceased by: his wife Martha; his parents, Juan of Dios Martinez and Maria; and his siblings, Candido, Eloy and Alberto of Monterrey, Mexico..
He is survived by: his children, Martha Balaz (Jerry), Teresa Rosen (Michael), Rosanelly Reyes (Gary) and Juan Carlos Martinez (Andrea); his grandchildren, George (Jeannette), Andrew (Stephanie), Matthew, Adam, Michael, Gregory, Lauren, Cristen and Evan; his great grandchildren, Caden, Malani and Malia; and his siblings, Olga Alvarez (Tomas), Hermila Martinez of Monterrey, Mexico, Gustavo Martinez (Maria) of Texas and Alvaro Martinez (Rosa) of Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home (14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, IN 46375). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
