John Pena Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Pena (Schererville, Indiana), who passed away on February 5, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Pena and Mary Pena; and his siblings, Raymond, George Sotelo, Sarah Leal and Olivia Favela.

He is survived by: his children, Rachael, Michelle, Johnny, Nicole Bews (Rob) and Eli Kookich; his granddaughters, Madelyn and Julie; his siblings, Richard (Esperanza), Edward (Audrey), Raul Sotelo, Aurora Favela (Miguel) and Ophelia Alvarez (Antonio); and his close friend Sharon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in John's memory to the Hospice of the Calumet.
