He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Murphy and Katherine "Trina" Murphy; his granddaughters, Ella and Sara Holland; and his siblings, George Murphy (Madelyn), John Murphy, Thomas Murphy (Karen), Patrick Murphy (Holly) and Mary MacDougall (Greg). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
