He was predeceased by: his wife Mary-Terri Mierzwa; his parents, Joseph Mierzwa and Clara Mierzwa; and his sister Pearl Kubicki (Stan). He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Mierzwa, Mark Mierzwa (Julie), Phillip Mierzwa (Michelle) and Keith Mierzwa (Erin); his grandchildren, Melissa (Tim), Elizabeth (Chris), Joseph (Mariah), Rachel, Renee, Emma, Olivia, Claire, Ella and Kyler; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Riley, Amelia and Xander.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Memory Lane Funeral Home (6305 W Lincoln Hwy Hwy, Crown Point, IN 46307). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
