With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy S. Colella of Schererville, Indiana, who passed away on February 20, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gigi (Louis E.); and her parents, Frank Zyla and Helen Zyla. She is survived by: her children, Laurel Olson (Craig), Dominic Colella (Rhonda) of Schererville and Charles Colella of Sadler; her close friend Joe Ferrantelli; her pet Jingles; her grandchildren, Christopher Colella (Sarah), Adam Colella (Ashley), Erik Olson, Neil Olson (Megan) and Vanessa Olson (Chris Myers); and her great grandchildren, Lexi, Lacey and Dominic Colella.

Donations can be made to the Calumet Area Humane Society.
