With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis Wayne Churilla of Schererville, Indiana, born in East Chicago, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Donald Churilla (Danielle); and his in-laws, Beverly Mesman (Wesley), John Dyke (Elaine) and Tom Dyke (Christy). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Churilla; his sons, Dennis Churilla (Heather) and Daniel Churilla (Laura); his grandchildren, Emily (Noah), Molly (Tyler), Ethan, Chloe, Sydney and Gavin; his great grandchildren, Beau, Brady, Roman and Alana; his sister Geri Haliburton; and his in-laws, Arlene Visser (late Simon), William Dyke (Harriet), Janis Standarski (David) and Linda Paarlberg (Scott). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Munster Christian Reformed Church (214 Ridge Rd, Munster, IN 46321). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
