With solemn reverence, we commemorate Janet Lifke of Santa Claus, Indiana, whose life came to an end on December 24, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Schelstraete and Esther Schelstraete; her sisters, Janice Schelstraete and Mary Ann Schelstraete; and her husband Jim.

She is survived by: her children, Jill Ellis (Tom) of Brentwood, Tenn, Janice Witherow (Brian) of Huron and Steve Lifke (Pam) of Akron, Ohio; her grandchildren, Laura (Ellis), Herman (Andrew), Emily (Ellis), Fisher (John), Caroline Ellis, Matthew Witherow, Allison Witherow, Claire Lifke and Evan Lifke; and her great grandchildren, Wren Herman and Hank Herman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
