With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Johanningsmeier of Sandborn, Indiana, born in Makoti, North Dakota, who passed away on October 24, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul H. Johanningsmeier and Susie Etter Johanningsmeier; his wife Kara L. Stewart Johanningsmeier; and his sisters, Marian Thompson and Alma Sturgeon.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne A. Johanningsmeier (Beth) of Floyds Knobs and Belinda G. Sanders (Steve) of Sandborn; and his grandchildren, Brian Sanders (Erin), Kelli Thoele (Carl), Craig Sanders (Jenna), Scott Johanningsmeier (Jennifer), Susan Smith (Ben) and Lisa Johanningsmeier. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to Habitat for Humanity or Bethel Church.
