She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora Calvert and Lois Calvert (Schultz); her stepson Thomas Potempa Jr.; her daughter Mary Katherine Potempa; and her brother Paul Eugene Calvert.
She is survived by: her husband Tom Potempa of San Pierre, IN; her stepdaughter Bethany Benson (Craig) of North Judson, IN; her grandchildren, Caden, Karlie, Connor, Thomas and Teaghan; her siblings, Marilyn Fedorchak of Warrensville, IL, Ora Lee Calvert (Terrie) of Francesville, IN and Dale Calvert (Sheila) of French Lick, IN; her parents-in-law, Chester and Peggy Potempa of San Pierre, IN; her siblings-in-law, Carol Widner of Monterey, IN, David Potempa of Lima, OH, Pam Robinson of Mishawaka, IN and Philip Potempa of San Pierre, IN; and her pets, Linda, Happy Jean, Caesar, Andy, Cherokee, Sheba, Sammie, Dolly, Murphy, Brewski, Ellie, Foxy, Princess and Ziva. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
