He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Bowlsbey and Martha Estep; and his siblings, Condy, Paul, Clyde, Willard Stanley, Cordelia Fitzwater and Mandy Trivett.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Kurbyun Bowlsbey; his children, William Bowlsbey Jr. (Angela) of North Vernon and Angela Shell (John) of Salem; his brothers, James, Henry, Jackie Bowlsbey and Freddie Smith; and his grandchildren, John, Jacob, James, Ava, Jackson Shell, Corrina Gilbert, Alyssa Westerburg and Cody Bowlsbey. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
