He was predeceased by: his parents, David Cole and Jennie Cole (Carter); and his siblings, Robert Cole Sr., Jerolyn Bogard, Jocelyn Snyder and Judy Horine.

He is survived by: his children, Curtis "Jake" Cole of Needham, Indiana and Kristie Schmidt of Jeffersonville; and his sisters, Jeanetta Cole of Salem and Janet Cole of Salem.
