She is survived by: her husband Everett Backus; her children, Melvin Backus, Jeffery Backus, David Backus, Kent Backus, Wendall Backus, Fred Gerdom, David Gerdom and Lorie Backus; and her siblings, Timothy Crowley, Sylvia Wencel, Pauline Thompson, Sarah Nemet, Deanna Crowley, Lilly O'Bryan and Ruth Jones. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
