She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Strasser and Mary Louise Strasser (Deckmann); her children, Russell O. Shields, Jr. and Brenda Shields; and her brothers, Vernon Strasser and Thurston Strasser.
She is survived by: her husband Russell O. Shields; her children, Riley Shields (Kalen), Beverly Shields (Lynn), Susan Collins (Will) and Sharon Clark (Richard); and her brother Ben Strasser Jr (Donna). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
