It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roland Leslie Sturgeon of Salem, Indiana, who passed away on December 25, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy A. Sturgeon and Edna Ballard Sturgeon; and his siblings, Gene Sturgeon (Lib), Donald Sturgeon (Sadie), Roger Sturgeon (Joan) and Eileen Sturgeon McCauley (Craig).
He is survived by: his wife Anita Kathern Grider; his children, Terri Jo Agan (Bob) of Salem, IN and Steven Todd Sturgeon (Lisa) of Greenville, IN; his foster son John Foley of Henryville, IN; his grandchildren, Colin Agan, Caitlin Ellis (Garrett), Connor and Cameron Sturgeon; his great grandchild Ansley Cate Ellis; and his sister Brenda Sturgeon Wright of Brownstown, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hoosier Christian Village Auxillary, Vallonia Christian Church Youth Program, Vallonia Christian Companions, or Tampico Christian Church.
