He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Elder and Esther Davis Elder; his wife Armella Reading; his son Robert M. Elder Jr.; and his sisters, Bonnie and Linda.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Elder of Anderson, Frances Nicole Elder Land of Salem and Lisa Elder Voyles (Jeff) of Salem; his siblings, Danny Elder of Ruskin, Margaret Elder Helms of Louisville and Edna Lamb of Louisville; and his grandsons, Michael Land and Matthew Land of Salem.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 711 W Mulberry St, Salem, IN 47167. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
