She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Ashabraner and Lola Hill Ashabraner; her husband Lee B. "Red" Simpson; and her daughter Janna Herrold Simpson. She is survived by: her friend Church; her daughters, Leanna Brewer (John) of Bloomington and Gayla Kaiser (John) of Salem; and her sister Pauline Gray of Shelbyville. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
