He was predeceased by: his father Charles Mays; his wife Wanda Dowling Mays; and his daughter Judy Hinton. He is survived by: his children, Danny Mays of Salem, David Mays of Salem, Timmy Mays of Salem and Tammy Goss of Pekin; and his half-brother Omar Ashcroft. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
