He is survived by: his wife Regina Shoemaker Shell; his children, Jimmy Shell (Beth) of Salem, Sheila Fultz (Darrell "Fish") of Salem and Rebecca Howard (Joe) of Pekin; his siblings, Preston Shell of Salem, Leonard Shell (Linda) of Salem, Robert Shell (Bonnie) of Salem, George Shell (Vonnie) of Campbellsburg and Debbie Humphrey (Joe) of Salem; his grandchildren, Jeremy Shell (Sarah), Troy O'Brien (Alisha), Levi O'Brien (Carlie), Tiffany Odum (Danny) and Tanner Fultz (Casie); and his great grandchildren, Laken, Chayton, Kaylynn, Luke, Malachi, Renlie, Brylee, Charlee, Averee, Kingston, Anistyn and Everleigh.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, during visitation, occupancy will be limited to 25 people in the building at one time.
