She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard E. Courtney and Daisy Brooks; her husband Nathan Thomas; and her brothers, Al Brooks, Howard Courtney, Douglas Courtney and Thomas Courtney.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Martin (Stephanie) of Greenville and Joni Muchler (Richard) of Salem; her sisters, Joy Hattabaugh of Salem and Marlene McDonald of Salem; her grandchildren, Andrew Muchler (Kassidy), Ally Muchler, Maci Muchler, Miles Martin and Max Martin; and her great grandchild Oaklynn Ellen Muchler.
