She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Slaten and Iva Newlin Slaten; her husband Owen Hudgens; and her sons, Timothy "Tim" Hill, William "Bill" Hill and Nathaniel Kenneth Hill.

She is survived by: her son Dan Hill (Tammy) of Salem; and her stepchildren, Carl Hudgens, Opal Swift and Peggy Baker. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
