He is survived by: his children, Johnetta Coombs (Mark) of Salem, Sandy Robinson of Indianapolis, John Newlin of Paoli and Liam Newlin of Bloomington; and his sister Mignon Marshall of Campbellsburg. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
