With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John H. McClain (Salem, Indiana), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan McClain and Evelyn McClain (Knapp); and his wife Nona McClain (Traiber). He is survived by: his daughter Emily Siler; his son-in-law Nick Siler; and his grandsons, Christian Siler and Frederick.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hughes - Taylor Salem Chapel (107 W Mulberry St, Salem, IN 47167). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
