She was predeceased by: her father William Chester Dowell; and her brother Bruce Dowell. She is survived by: her mother Nancy C. Dowell (Medlock); her husband Carl "Corky" Vance; her stepdaughter Shawna Henry (Vance); her siblings, Keith Swann, Tina Lee Dowell and Teresa Grannokis; and her sister-in-law Gloria Dowell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
