He is survived by: his parents, Maurice Eugene Purlee and Ruby Eunice Emerson; his wife Amy Purlee (Payne); his son Jason Michael Porter (Natasha Humphrey); his brothers, Philip Dean Purlee (Melinda) and Paul Thomas Purlee; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Porter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
