He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kirby and Catherine Gilstrap Kirby; his daughter Stacey Kirby; his grandson Mark Allen Adkins; his great grandchild Leelan Robert Crain; and his siblings, Vera Gilchrist, Frank Kirby, Gene Kirby, Mike Kirby and Ralph Kirby.
He is survived by: his children, James-Pnut Kirby (Julie) of Salem, Melissa Padgett (Patrick) of Rushville and Paula Collier of Indianapolis; and his siblings, Paul Kirby of Salem and Janet Gibbons (Denver) of Salem. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
