It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gle Etta Marie Williams of Salem, Indiana, who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gle Etta Marie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Larry Williams; and her brother Dwight Decker. She is survived by: her sons, Chuck Williams (Kerri) of Salem, Steve Williams (Jenifer) of Starlight, IN and Richard Williams of Salem; her stepdaughter Cristy Brown (Adrian) of Sellersburg, IN; and her sister Gaylene Strain of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Weathers Funeral Home (106 S Shelby St, Salem, IN 47167). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
