She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Cates and Rillis Crites Cates; her children, Hobart Roberts, Herbert Roberts, Michael Roberts and Barbara Roberts; and her siblings, Isaac "Bud" Cates and Emma Mills.
She is survived by: her daughters, Venita Jones of Pennsylvania, Sharon Babcock (Randall) of Salem, Sadie Baker of Corydon, Sally Roberts of Louisville and Ellen Willis (Ron) of Charlestown; her daughter-in-law Linda Roberts of Salem; and her sisters, Erma Ruth Cates of Fort Wayne and Ella Mae Arnold of Custer. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter, 18 great-grandchildren.
