He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Everett and Thelma Parmelee Blackwell; and his sister Shirley Ann Wentzel. He is survived by: his wife Karna Kay Gunnerson Blackwell; his sons, Eric Kent Blackwell (Jennifer) of Jeffersonville and Jeffrey Owen Blackwell (Sandra) of Salem; his foster daughter Samantha Sanford Grimes of Lockeford, CA; his sister Virginia Robinson of Hesperia, CA; and his grandchildren, Cameron Blackwell, Darren C. Blackwell, Jamie Strong, Jordan Blackwell, Logan K. Blackwell, Brenna Hanchett, Cody Blackwell and Parker Blackwell. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
