He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Russell and Mary Pearl Maudlin Russell; his wife Loretta Howard Russell; his son Jerry Russell; and his siblings, Leroy Russell, Newton Russell, Charles Russell, Marjorie Denien and Mildred Deweese.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Russell of Salem, Larry Russell of Campbellsburg, Stella Lockard of Salem, Connie Nichols (Trent) of Salem, Rita Lewis (Jerral) of Salem and Tammie Quinlin of Salem. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren as well as several step- grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Weathers Funeral Home (106 S Shelby St, Salem, IN 47167). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
