She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Deater and Joyce Deater (Whieten); her husband Ronald Barnett; and her sister Judy Deater. She is survived by: her sons, Jason Sonke of Grand Rapids and Mike Peterson of Scottsburg, Indiana; her brothers, Tom Deater of Grant, Floyd Deater of San Antonio and John Deater of Whitehall; and her grandchildren, William, Julia, Blake Peterson, Desarae, Layla and Tyler Sonke.
