He was predeceased by: his parents, Zelma Marie Osborne Newby and Irvin Newby; and his siblings, Robert Newby and Brenda Newby. He is survived by: his daughter Ginger Gibson (Donald) of Salem; his stepson Virgil Sparrow (Kortney) of Salem; and his siblings, Larry Newby of Salem, James Newby of Salem, Kathryn Newby Norman of Salem, Wanda Carol Rice (Lewis) of Paoli and Phyllis Feary (Bob) of Salem. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
