He was predeceased by: his parents, Morton "Doc" Fordyce and Agnes Nicholson Fordyce; his wife Joyce Rodman Fordyce; his son Trent Fordyce; and his brothers, Irvin and Emmett Fordyce.

He is survived by: his sons, David Fordyce of Salem and Brent Fordyce of Salem. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
