She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Steeples and Esther Steeples (Nale); and her siblings, Theodore, Willis Steeples, Mildred Asher, Gertrude Antrum, Dorothy Lane and Esther Shelton.
She is survived by: her sister Rose Freed of Cayuga, Indiana; and her children, James Beck (Lindsey) of Garner, Richard Beck (Deborah) of Shelbyville, Pamela McConnaughey (Chad), Roger Beck of White Pine and Amanda Williams of Raleigh. She is also survived by four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
