He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Albertson Hardin and Sarah Woford Hardin; and his siblings, Perry (Hardin), Bobby Hardin, Arthur "Art" Hardin, Anna Lyle Grant, Virginia Hardin and Linda Shell.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Nuckles Hardin; and his son Billy Joe Hardin of Salem. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
