He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Ayres Sr. and Annie Ayres (Kidwell); and his brother Aubrey Ayres Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Beth Brewer (Nick) of Jeffersonville and Becky Garrett (Alex) of Salem; and his siblings, Mary Ayres, Ruth Dixon of Virginia, Betty Brown of Salem, Samuel and Donnie Ayres of Virginia. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dawalt Funeral Home (204 E Market St, Salem, IN 47167). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
