He is survived by: his mother Genevieve Newton (Boolman) of Portland; his wife Nila Schmitz; his daughters, Kerioka Henkle (Bryan) of Portland and Melissa Newton (Davis Anderson) of Portland; his stepmother Mary Mae Newton of Dunkirk; and his sisters, Nyoka Smith of Portland, Judy Eglan of Portland and Sandra Newton of Portland.
