He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas B. Johns and Pearl Johns (Mink); his wife Carolyn Johns (Hungate); his granddaughter Rachel Harding; his brother-in-law James Patterson; and his nephew Jay Patterson.
He is survived by: his children, Beth Harding (Mike) of St. Paul and Todd Johns (Christina) of St. Paul; his close friend Lavon Wasson of Hope; his sister Helen Patterson of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Sarah Kuntz (Aaron), Austin Johns, Cody Johns and James Thomas Johns (Madi); and his great grandchildren, Aiden Kuntz and Oliver Johns.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Rachel Harding Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of the Blue River Foundation of Shelbyville.
