He is survived by: his parents, Daniel A. Brooks and Jacquelyn Brooks (Southern); his children, Maggie Brooks Monka, Alexander Brooks, James Brooks, Daniel Joseph Brooks II and Breanna Brickley; his siblings, Destinee Nunlist, John Brooks and Maggie Brooks; and his grandchildren, Mason, Annabelle and Lilly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
