It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred T. Vaal (Saint Meinrad, Indiana), born in Dubois, Indiana, who passed away on February 18, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Humbert and Leona Humbert (Schepers); her husband Harold Vaal; her grandson Christopher Schwindel; and her siblings, Richard, Fred Jr., Maurice, Eugene Humbert, Mary Merkel, Elizabeth Schepers, Anna Merkel and Mathilda Kern.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Vaal (Wendy) of St. Meinrad, Rodney Vaal (Mary Agnes) of St. Meinrad, Donna Foertsch (Dennis) of Evanston, Denise Lambeck (Randy) of Evanston, Charlene Nowotny of St. Meinrad, Sharon Schwindel (Dennis Mulzer) of St. Meinrad, Charlotte Hinton (Rodney) of Tell City, Darlene Brown (John Metzler) of Dale and Sheila Lahee (David) of Santa Claus; and her brother Norbert Humbert (Veronica) of Huntingburg. She is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren.
