She was predeceased by: her sister Agnes Vander Giessen; and her parents, Adrian Giessen and Elsie Vander Giessen. She is survived by: her spouse Marinus "Mart" Boer; her children, Robert Boer (Laurie), Linda Dekker (Scott) and Elaine DeYoung (Bill); and her sister Eleanor Vander Giessen. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
