He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Janiak and Charlotte Janiak; and his former wife Catherine Elliott-Janiak. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly S. Janiak; his daughters, Amanda Elliott (John Vena) and Michelle Burch (Benton Schrader); his daughter-in-law Jennifer Bos; his grandchildren, Emma Bos, Madeline Burch, Noah Burch and Jovanni Vena; his siblings, Glenn Janiak (Dawn), Kathy Trama (John), Roger Janiak (Linda) and Lisa McNamara (Pete); and his siblings-in-law, Carol Hoekstra (Lou), Judy Boender (Marty) and Jim Van Wieren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Memory Lane Memorial Park (6305 W Lincoln Hwy Hwy, Crown Point, IN 46307).
