He was predeceased by: his parents, Egaston Sheffield and Eva Sheffield; and his siblings, Janice Love, Artrelia Gill, Haywood Sheffield and Jimmy Sheffield.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita (Sebestyen); his siblings, Carlton Sheffield (Brenda) of San Antonio, Eddie Sheffield of San Antonio and Eunice Barrett (James) of DeSoto, TX.; and his children, Maurice Thomas (Amber) of Colorado Springs, Duane Sheffield (Trina) of Houston, Artrelia Sheffield (Antonio) of Grand Rapids and Doris Calhoun (DuePre) of Grand Rapids.
