He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Monix; his son Dale; his great grandchild Kinsley Monix; his parents, Alfred Monix and Margaret Monix; and his brothers, Alfred, Pete, Fred and George Monix.
He is survived by: his children, David Monix (Ingrid), Shannon Schmal (Jeff) and Cindy Reece (Don); his grandchildren, Kurt Monix (Hannah), Andrew Monix (Allison), Jacob, Rebecca Reece, Lauren Kay (Damon) and Danielle Schmal; his great grandchild Malia Monix; his brother Bill Monix (Mary); and his sisters-in-law, JoAnn, Nancy, Adeline Monix and Lynn Slavings. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Herman's name to the Lake County 4-H Livestock Department.
