He was predeceased by: his daughter Tara Dykstra; his brother Donald Dykstra (Donna); his brother-in-law David; and his parents, Edward Dykstra and Henrietta Dykstra.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Dykstra; his children, Todd Dykstra, Andy Dykstra (Sandra), Jeff Dykstra (Jennifer), Sara Kooistra (Ken) and Josh Dykstra; his grandchildren, Kayla, Kenzie, Ella, Regan, Cole, Nora and Caden; his brother Robert Dykstra (Debra); and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Regnerus (Louis), Jack Van Deel (Christine), Roger Van Deel (Krista) and Sue Rietveld (Ron).

Memorial contributions may be given to Crown Point Christian School, Highland Christian School or Heritage Christian High School.
