He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Hembree and Joyce Hembree (Wininger); his grandparents, Ora, Orion Hembree, Merlin and Elsie Wininger; his siblings, Janice Peoples, Merlie Hembree, Rose Stewart, Wally, Dwight, Keith, Jay and Denny Hembree; and his stepfather Art Trambaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hembree (Schwartz) of St. Anthony; his children, Wesley Hembree (Natasha) of St. Anthony, Patrick Fawks (Amy) of Huntington, WV, Jennifer Fawks of Kokomo and Tosha Wilmes of Louisville, KY; and his sisters, Elsie Mae Horsting of Loogootee, Kay Matthews of Dale and Faye Holland (Chris) of Loogootee. He is also survived by grandchildren; (5) great-grandchildren, and (29) nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Nass & Son Funeral Home (208 Main St, Huntingburg, IN 47542). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location.
